Buy Boiled Linseed Oil (Linseed Oil, Wood Oil)
Looking to buy boiled linseed oil? This form of linseed oil is obtained from the seeds of the flax plant. It is a natural, pale-yellow product often used in paints, varnishes and as a wood finish. Boiled linseed oil is popular as a wood oil because it penetrates deeply and provides protection.
The ‘boiling’ treatment of this linseed oil does not mean that the oil is actually boiled. It refers to a heating process in which siccatives (drying agents) are added to accelerate oxidation and polymerisation. This process significantly improves the product’s drying time compared with raw linseed oil.
For this reason, boiled linseed oil is a popular finish for woodwork, both indoors and outdoors. It can be used on many wooden objects, including ladders, fences, beams, doors and cabinets.
This product provides a durable, glossy, moisture-resistant finish that helps protect wood from external influences such as moisture and UV radiation.

Instructions for use
Preparation:
- Make sure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from dust, grease and old paint layers. Lightly sand new wood for better adhesion.
- Work in a well ventilated area and wear protective gloves if necessary.
Application:
- Stir the boiled linseed oil thoroughly to achieve an even consistency.
- Apply a thin coat with a clean, dry brush or cloth. Work in the direction of the wood grain for even coverage.
- Allow the oil to dry for at least 24 hours; this may take longer depending on ambient temperature and humidity.
- After the first coat, sand lightly with fine sandpaper for a smooth finish. Remove all sanding dust before applying the next coat.
- For additional protection and depth of finish, apply several thin coats, allowing each coat to dry completely before applying the next. Two to three coats are usually sufficient.
Aftercare and maintenance:
- Keep treated surfaces clean by wiping them with a slightly damp cloth.
- Annual maintenance may be required for surfaces exposed to extreme weather or wear by applying a fresh coat of linseed oil.
