Potassium nitrate as a fertilizer
For a rich harvest in vegetable and allotment gardens, regular fertilisation is necessary, because plants use macronutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium for growth; potassium improves crop quality and supports the uptake of water and other nutrients, while potassium nitrate (KNO₃) as a commonly used mineral fertiliser supplies both potassium and nitrate; a common dosage is around 100 grams per square metre, evenly distributed to prevent nutrient imbalances, and potassium nitrate in technical quality is available online, including from DutchChems.
